YEU Response to Sinabung Erruption

On Sunday, 29 August 2010; Mount Sinabung in Karo district, North Sumatra erupted and forced more than 27.000 people to flee from their houses.

YEU Inaugurated Three Reconstructed Schools in Myanmar, 30 May 2010

In the response to Nargis Typhoon hit Myanmar in 2008, YEU had rehabilitated three schools previously damaged by the disaster. Those schools were B.E.H.S. (3) Pyapon, B.E.M.S. (1) Pyapon, and B.E.H.S. (2) Pyapon in Pyapon Township, Myanmar.
Mr. Sigit Wijayanto, the Executive Director of YAKKUM, along with the Representative of Indonesian Ambassador for Myanmar, Ms. Dhyasti Kalista W.N. Siregar inaugurated those reconstructed schools on 30 May 2010.
Attended by Maj. Gen Soe Naing, the Minister of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar and the person in charge for Pyapon Township rehabilitation, the ceremony was successfully held.
