Losing 15 family members at a glance because of the tsunami doesn’t stop Mr. Yadi to continue his life. Grief and pain still can be felt every time he pay visit to their graves. “When we pay visit to the graves, the grief is always there,” he said in one afternoon. But he always does that annually to remember the families who passed away.

The farmers in this story heal their wound of disaster trauma by working. Their land is a efficacious clinic, and their farming activities are effective medicine. They grow as self-reliance and productive farmers, considering their land as their workshop and their school. They don’t need any room for working or studying. They also need neither teacher nor thick books to enrich their knowledge.

Aktivitas PPGD (Penanganan Penderita Gawat Darurat) oleh sekelompok anak yang dibimbing oleh Susi Ratna, Training Officer YEU, di Komplek Rumah Belajar Bencana “Disaster Oasis” yang berlokasi di Dusun Purworejo, Hargobinangun, Pakem, Sleman, DIY pada 29 mei 2010 menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan kebencanaan sejak anak-anak.

Summary: This story told about a girl who had Fracture Lumbal, a kind of disease that strike her spine and cause her two legs paralyzed. Niat Hati Damai is the second child of five. She was born in October 1982. Her father had passed away when she was five years old. At this time she lived with her mother, and brothers and sister. They live in Sogeadu village, about 20 kilometers south of Gunung Sitoli.
